Building Design

First pilot project is the design of a parking structure on Ngarmwongwan Road where Kasetsart University had to locate on the former green belt of campus. Some amount of big trees needed to be removed in order to build this building, thus the replacement of green area need to be compensated.Climbing plants were selected to grown on the vertical surface of building facade, by its quality of leave coverage and CO2 uptake. The building is now completed, used by KU community and act as another green surface for the campus.

The second Parking Building on Ngarmwongwan was completed in June 2009. This new building contained specially designed  trellis for climbing plants to twine on,thin stainless steel rods interlacing vertically  like shape of branches of tree. Thunbergia Grandiflora and  Honey Suckle  fully covered all 4 stories of parking structure within only  3 months time. Blomming all year long, the 2 plants act like

A living façade for this new building.
